A step by step guide on how to change or replace an empty CO2 gas bottle for a Zip HydroTap G5 command centre
If your sparkling water is flat or dribbling out, you will likely need to change your CO2 bottle. The G5 command centre also has an LCD indicator that gives a rough indication of the likely percentage of remaining gas. However this is often wrong so please don't rely on this. Bottles often need changing even when 30% remaining is indicated.
Changing your CO2 bottle
1-Using the LCD screen press MENU (top left icon with three lines)>SYSTEMS SETTINGS>CO2 SETTINGS>PURGE CO2>PRESS START
2-This will release any CO2 left over in the hoses
3- Turn the regulator off on the CO2 bottle
4- Remove the regulator from the CO2 bottle
A-For the smaller bottles hold the bottle vertically and unscrew the bottle from the regulator
B- For the larger bottles use an adjustable spanner and unscrew the regulator from the bottle
5- Remove the the cap on the new CO2 bottle and fit the bottle to the regulator and once tighten turn on the the regulator
6- As you tighten the bottle you will hear some CO2 gas leaking out, quickly tighten the bottle to stop this. Ensure that no further gas is leaking out once this is complete by listening for leaking gas
7- Next you need to complete a CO2 purge on the LCD screen on the command centre. Press MENU>SYSTEM SETTINGS>CO2 INFO>CO2 PURGE>PLAY. This process takes about 30 seconds
8- Once complete you now need to reset the CO2 on the command centre, press the CO2 RESET>PRESS CO2 RESET (again)and then the button below to confirm
