The JURA Cool Control milk fridge is switched on but it's not chilling the milk.
The JURA Cool Control 1L and 2.5L milk fridges establish the milk level using an internal scale, which measures weight.
When the fridge thinks that it has no milk in it - as indicated by the pink LED - then it will switch off the chiller system.
If you have milk in the fridge, but you are seeing a pink light on the level indicator then the machine has lost its scale calibration and needs to be re-set, so it accurately reads your milk level.
Please note that if you place anything on top of your milk fridge it will mis-read the milk level as it will count the additional weight.
Your fridge needs its lid on to accurately measure the weight and therefore level of milk.
If your fridge isn't powering up then check that all the power leads are correctly inserted - these can come loose with cleaning
To recalibrate your milk fridge follow this procedure:
1. Ensure the milk fridge is set on a flat surface with nothing interfering underneath such as power wires
2. Remove the lid and metal milk container
3. With the fridge switched on press and hold the little black button next to the power button for a few seconds until the display flashes and it beeps (see photo below). Then let go of the button and don't touch the fridge, so it can calibrate the weight.
4. Re-insert your milk container and pop the lid on top. You should see the correct level indicated on your display
5. Provided the pink LED isn't on, your milk fridge should automatically chill your milk to the correct temperature
If the machine doesn't power up at all and the display is dead, and you've checked all the power leads then please contact us via this Support Form and raise a ticket.
